Lindsay Roser

Lindsay has worked in the resources, manufacturing, and technology sectors and has qualifications in accounting and economics.

His corporate roles have included finance, accounting, contract management, IT systems implementation, Business Unit, and General Management responsibilities. During this period, he had full P&L responsibility and managed businesses in the USA, APAC, and the UK.

While living in the USA he founded a software development company. This startup successfully developed innovative technology in the search engine, data mining, and predictive analytics arenas. At the time of its divestment to a Fortune 500 company, Lindsay’s company employed over 120 engineering professionals with annual revenue in excess of US$60M.

Lindsay returned to Australia in 2013 after 15 years in the USA, and resides in Hobart, Tasmania. His business interests have included advisory and investment roles with;
An eco-tourism adventure-based company (exited), an online sports media content aggregator(exited), an on-line retail grocery start-up (exited), a rideshare platform (exited), a hedge fund industry analytics platform (ongoing), an energy trading analytics tool set (ongoing), a digital identity and security solutions business (exited), a BioPlastics startup (ongoing) and is currently the Advisory Board Chair of a waste plastics recovery and recycling company (ongoing).

Lindsay is an Adjunct Fellow at Southern Cross University NSW, and a founding Board member of its technology and business incubator, the SCU Enterprise Lab.
He is also an Associate Fellow at the University of Tasmania and supports the Executive Dean of the School of Business and Economics and the Executive Director Innovation and Enterprise.

I'm a product focused technology leader and engineer. I currently lead the Supercloud product division at Firmus, which is building the world's most energy efficient GPU powered cloud native supercomputer. Firmus is a unique datacentre company that specialises in immersion cooling and applications such as GPU focused AI/ML. You can find out more about Firmus on the company website. I previously built AI systems for Biteable, led the information infrastructure team that created the Australian Ocean Data Network, led projects at the Tasmanian Partnership for Advanced Computing, and designed and implemented institutional banking systems for the National Australia Bank, Westpac, the Commonwealth Bank, HSBC, and the Bank of Tokyo.

Stephen is the Managing Director of Industry Waste Recovery, a dedicated product stewardship business operating since 2015 with Farm Waste Recovery and newly accredited Big Bag Recovery programmes.

Stewart Ford

Stewart Ford has an extensive history of developing and building businesses and owning and operating a complete engineering service business servicing various clients, including government agencies. He also founded Cobalt Visual in 1999 to create online sales management systems, including sales and marketing support products for the real estate industry. He gained his full Commercial Real Estate License and operated CPS Real Estate and Commercial Property Sales for ten years. Through his business consulting, he took on the role of Global Chief Technical Officer and General Manager at Airways Aviation Australia for five years. He joined the Big Bag Recovery team to bring a wide range of skills to assist in delivering the product stewardship program nationally.
